Nebuchadnezzar's Dream

Lets take a look at this dream from the Mormon perspective and see if the facts in the scriptures and history of events verify their explanation that the stone was cut out of the mountain in 1830.

	Ten Toes for ten kingdoms from the Roman Empire In the day they are represented by 10 Kings the stone will be cut out without man's hands. Daniel 2:44-45

The image of the man in the dream has little significance other than to establish the date that the stone will be cut out without the hands of man. This is a map of the 4 kingdoms in the dream.

 

Out of the Roman empire the dream forecasted a date where there would be ten kings and at that time the stone would be cut out of the mountain without man's hands, or in other words by the hand of God.  Mormons believe that the year and month of June 1830 was the fulfillment of Nebuchadnezzar's dream.

Daniel 2:44 "And in the days of these Kings shall the God of Heaven set up a Kingdom which shall never be destroyed:..." Meaning in the days that there are ten kings within the boundaries of the Roman Empire God will set up His Kingdom on Earth. Some will be strong and some weak as clay. Keep in mind that when Christ came to earth in his Jewish birth and ministry, it was prophesied that he would be a King and overthrow the government, yet He came, as a thief in the night, and few recognized Him for who He was. The government he overthrew was not the Roman government, but the religions that were of the devil. Christ setup a spiritual government that leads to Eternal Life. The Jews believed when He came he would be a King of great power and free them from all sorrow or bondage. They did not expect Him to come as a baby born in a manger. Only those who were meek and humble and believed in Him understood and received His gift of Eternal Life. This is a pattern of the works of God, who seldom sounds a trumpet that men hear with their physical ears. God purposely works in a manner that only those who open their spiritual eyes and ears see and hear. The world (popular opinion or Babylon) inspired by the devil demands absolute proof and signs, and even then they do not believe. Even the signs in the Heavens of the Star of Bethlehem was not enough proof for them. Likewise the dream of Nebuchadnezzar is not a bold sign that everyone understands. It takes careful evaluation along with a thorough study of history to see its fulfillment. Consider the following chart and study the references, then decide for yourself if you agree or disagree.

The only time that the stone could be cut out of the mountain was after the creation of Greece and before the division of Holland which eliminated a king and created the republic of Belgium. Only 19 months in a period of hundreds of years. A condition that could not occur prior to 1830 due to the fact that the area of kingdoms were controlled by large kingdoms and had not yet been divided into an area of 10 kings. Then the remarkable thing in history is that after 1830 several kings were replaced by republics. Even England became a republic although they kept a king as a figurehead. It is like a flood gate being removed after 1830 causing numerous countries and people to be given greater freedom as Kings were replaced by Republics. It cannot be a coincidence to anyone who will look at it with spiritual eyes. It can only be the hand of God.

We must ask the question of where, when and how did God cut out the prophesied stone without hands in this time period? What change or act was done that can possibly fit this time period? It coincides with the legal charter for "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" of April 6, 1830, who are nicknamed Mormons. No other religion recognizes the year of 1830 as being significant. neither has any other religion grown and multiplied like the Mormons. In contrast most churches are losing members.

Lets first examine a few other historical facts and changes that have a common date or relationship.

1. The first time man exceeded the speed of a horse was in 1830 when two steam engines broke the speed barrier. The Rocket and the Tom Thumb each exceeded the speed of a horse for the first time in history when they both traveled 30 mph. Since that time the speed of man has doubled each time the number of members of the Mormon church has doubled. Like wise the electronic age and other inventions have increased at a similar rate to the growth of the Mormon church. Ask yourself why?, for almost 6,000 years man's fastest rate of travel was 27 mph the maximum speed of a horse. Then in 1830 this speed barrier was broken. Next consider the fact that in only 280 years man's speed has accelerated to the current record speed achieved by the Apollo. In the decent to earth the Apollo traveled 7 miles per second, or 25,000 miles per hour. Isn't it a marvel that we would have almost 6 thousand years with the maximum speed of 27 miles per hour (speed of a horse) then have that speed barrier broken in the same year there were ten kings as prophesied, then the speed accelerate so much in less than 300 years?

2. Ask yourself, if the dream forecasts an establishment of God's kingdom and if that date is 1830 as the above research proves, then if it was not the organization of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" what was it? Why is the dream saying a new establishment of God's Kingdom instead of supporting any church already organized? No other church claims this date or gives it any significance.

 

I will ad to this article sometime in the future and evaluate Bible scriptures that support a new Church or Kingdom of God cut out by the hand of God in the last days.
